Manchester Collective and soprano Ruby Hughes present a set of ethereal music for voice and string orchestra. Listeners will be transported to a world of incredible fragility and exquisite beauty – from Britten’s sparkling Les Illuminations to vigorous, life-affirming music by Olli Mustonen. At the heart of this programme is a new song cycle from Edmund Finnis featuring poetry by Alice Oswald.
