Join the University of Liverpool Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir and UNIty Choir for their annual collaborative concert, this time featuring some of the world’s best loved choruses!
Beginning the concert with Gustav Holst’s sublime Ave Maria for eight-part upper voice choir, we will then travel to 19th century Italy for some of Guiseppe Verdi’s wonderful opera choruses, performed by the combined forces of the University of Liverpool Chamber Choir and UNIty Choir, who will be joined by guest singers and conducted by Louise Ellinson.
We celebrate the talents of MMus student Emily Chapple, winner
of the LUMS Concerto Competition, who will be performing Cécile Chaminade’s
Concertino for Flute. The Symphony Orchestra will round off
the concert in style with Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony no. 8, conducted by Gethyn
Jones.
