Whizz! Pop! Bang! You’re invited to join the Royal Institution's explosive anniversary show of their iconic Christmas Lectures and help choose the greatest science demos of all time. The Royal Institution is a science charity and has been engaging the public with science for over 200 years.

After two centuries of science demonstrations, they’ve done it all: snot-filled fake noses, lightbulbs dipped in liquid nitrogen, animal magnetism, and exploding balloons. But what will you see this time?

With 200 years of science to draw from, you can expect the unexpected and... plenty of science, science, science.

This event forms part of the British Science Festival, hosted by John Moores University and the University of Liverpool, running from 10-14 September 2025.
