Jonathan Crossley (UK/ZA), hailed by Guitar Moderne as “the poster-boy for modern guitar” launches two new albums; Solace, featuring David Kollar (SK), Lukas Ligeti (AT/US) and guest Arve Henriksen, arrives on 7D Media, a post-King Crimson experimental hub. Find out more about Jonathan Crossley here.

Kollar’s playing has been described as “fearless, texturally rich and uncompromising” while Ligeti is “one of the world’s most ingenious composers”.

The evening also unveils St Augustine’s Remorse featuring Carlo Mombelli (ZA), whose work is “defiantly individual and visionary” and Johnny Hunter (UK) stepping in: cutting-edge international improvisation with deeply individual musical voices.

The title track 'Solace' showcases the trio of Crossley, Kollar and Ligeti, joined by Arve Henriksen, whose haunting trumpet work paints a picture of melancholy and openness within this improvised setting, adding an expansive, textural dimension.
'They are Coming', also by Crossley, Kollar and Ligeti. Recorded in June 2024 during an artistic residency at the University of Liverpool, this song in particular captures the essence of three brilliant musical minds in deep, real-time dialogue.
