Roopa Panesar and Kousic Sen
One of the finest sitar players to emerge from the UK, Roopa Panesar returns to Liverpool for an evening of breathtaking virtuosity.
Known for her incredible emotional depth and staggering dexterity, Roopa’s music is a soulful journey that spans traditional Indian classical ragas to contemporary collaborations.
For this special performance, Roopa is joined by the world-renowned tabla maestro, Kousic Sen. Their musical partnership is a long-standing one; in 2011, Milap produced Roopa’s debut album, Khoj, which featured Kousic’s masterly accompaniment—an early milestone in a collaborative relationship that continues to flourish on stages worldwide.
