The Liverpool Mozart Orchestra’s final concert of the season sees it expand its normal forces for a romantic tour de force. Regularly voted the most popular classical music work of all, Rachmaninov’s heart-rending Second Piano Concerto is the centrepiece.
Beforehand we have a poignant Slavonic Dance by Dvořák and afterwards one of Brahms’ absolute masterworks, his Second Symphony, bringing the season to a triumphant close.
There will be a free pre-concert talk starting at 6.45pm that all ticket holders are invited to attend.
