Part of the Yoko Ono Lennon Lunchtime Concert Series

KOF Live at the Tung Auditorium

Featuring Jazz Gittens & His Band, the Arts Bar Orchestra,

A dynamic force in the UK music scene, KOF blends soul-stirring vocals, infectious grooves, and thought-provoking lyrics to create a powerful and immersive musical experience. Known for his electrifying stage presence and seamless fusion of soul, R&B, and hip-hop, KOF captivates audiences with performances that are as intimate as they are anthemic.

For this special Black History Month performance, KOF presents a full-scale production featuring the Arts Bar Orchestra, joined by guest vocalists who add even greater depth, harmony, and energy to the night. This landmark event celebrates Black creativity, excellence, and collaboration, spotlighting the artistry and leadership of Black musicians shaping the UK’s live music scene today.

Backed by a live band led by pianist Jazz Gittens, the performance expands the sonic landscape with rich, layered arrangements and live instrumentation that bring new life to KOF’s sound.

Leading the band is Jazz Gittens, a 24-year-old Barbados-born pianist and rising talent in the UK jazz and soul scene. With roots in Caribbean jazz and a flair for musical direction, Jazz brings depth, energy, and finesse to the stage. Now based in Liverpool, he has performed with Beverley Knight and Jennifer John, while also fronting the city’s only all-Black band, UKNOWCARIB. A natural leader and gifted musician, Jazz blends tradition and innovation to shape an unforgettable live sound.

Together, KOF, Jazz Gittens, the Arts Bar Orchestra, deliver a soulful and uplifting experience that is powerful and alive with purpose. A performance that honours heritage, community and the enduring impact of Black music.

Presented in partnership with Decks In The City.
