Indian Music by Milap: Aparna Raguraman
Experience the captivating melodies of Carnatic violin in a live concert featuring Aparna Raguraman, accompanied by Bangalore Prakash on the mridangam and Prathap Ramachandra on the ghatam.
Aparna, the daughter and disciple of renowned musicians Sri Balu Raguraman and Smt Subathra Raguraman, has quickly made her mark as a young artist. Awarded Milap’s National Youth Fellowship and featured in high-profile concerts including a collaboration with Anoushka Shankar at London’s Royal Festival Hall, Aparna is known for her expressive style and technical mastery.
Joining her on stage, Bangalore Prakash brings his rhythmic expertise on the mridangam, known for his dynamic playing that enriches any ensemble with complex and powerful beats. Prathap Ramachandra on the ghatam completes the ensemble with his unique, earthy percussion style, adding texture and rhythm to every piece. Together, these three exceptional musicians promise an evening of rich, intricate soundscapes, honouring the beauty and depth of Carnatic music.

This performance is not likely to be suitable for children under 5 due to the acoustics in the auditorium. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Under-10’s are not permitted to sit on the balconies.
No food or drink other than bottled water is permitted in The Tung Auditorium.
